NBC Respiratory Mask-I

The NBC Respiratory Mask forms an important part of NBC warfare protective system. It provides protection to the face and respirators against agents used in chemical warfare.

The NBC Respiratory Mask mainly consists of face piece, inner mask, exhalation valve system, connector, harness system, visors and drinking device.

The face piece has provision for mounting visors, which are fitted to it using double sealing frame.

The exhalation valve assembly consists of Nylong sieve, valve diaphragm and a valve casing.  It is externally protected by a valve cap, which is press fitted on the exhalation valve.

The connector assembly consists of a connector piece and an inhalation valve diaphragm.  The canister is threaded to the connector piece externally.  This assembly is mounted on the face piece by a clamp.

An inner mask is fitted behind the exhalation valve assembly.  It is also fitted with two control valves, one to oral and other to nasal end.

The drinking water assembly consists of nipple, spring-loaded valve (SLV), hose etc.Nipple with SLV is fitted with the hose.  The other end of the hose is fitted with the bottle SLV assembly.  The bottle is threaded to the bottle SLV assembly.

The harness system routed through buckle is connected to the face piece through button holes fixed on to the buttons on face piece straps.

A sweat absorption pad is placed under the inner mask to absorb sweat.

Will conform to JSS Specification No: 4240-02:2010.  The Mask comes in 3 sizes viz. Small, Medium & Large.
